UI/Front-End Engineer | September 2020 - Present

This fall, I joined the Engineering team with the non-profit, Team Keep, to work on their product, Keep.id: a document & identification storage platform that partners with other non-profits to help those experiencing homelessness.

In the past few months, I’ve been gaining lot of dev experience as a UI and Front-End Engineer, implementing interfaces and front-end features by collaborating with our Design team with React.js, HTML/CSS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript/Typescript! That doesn’t mean I haven’t been writing some backend routes & code to work with front-end features (fetch data requests!!) though… Java is my friend. *chuckles nervously*

Keep.id’s mission truly resonated with me after watching a documentary on the Skid Row area of Los Angeles — and it made me reflect on the privilege I have, and the responsibility I have to use that privilege to make efforts to help, even just a little, those that society ignores the most.

Click below to check out Keep.id. Some of the code I’ve implemented is below (others are in the pull-request pipeline :) )
